Seating and Cargo

Honda Pilot

The Pilot is a three-row SUV with seating for up to eight passengers, or seven passengers if you choose second-row captain's chairs. Trims include the LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, and Elite. The Pilot LX comes standard with rear privacy glass, a tilting/telescoping steering column, illuminated steering wheel-mounted controls, and fabric seating.

The EX adds three-zone climate control and a 10-way driver’s seat. Available features include leather or perforated leather seats, heated front and second-row seats, ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, and a panoramic roof.

The 2017 Pilot has up to 16.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, and up to 83.9 cubes with the rear seats folded. The Honda SUV is also available with a Dual-Position Reversible Cargo Lid and a Flexible Cargo Management System.

Nissan Pathfinder

The 2017 Pathfinder also has three rows of seating, but the tiny third row only features two seats, so it’s maxed out at seven passengers. Trims include the S, SV, SL, and Platinum. The base model features a tilting/telescoping steering wheel, illuminated wheel-mounted controls, cloth seating, and three-zone climate control.

The SV adds an 8-way driver’s seat and a heated steering wheel. The Nissan SUV is available with leather-appointed seating, heated front and second-row outboard seats, dual-panel moonroof, and ventilated front seats.

As for cargo space, the Pathfinder has 16 cubic feet behind the third row and 79.8 cubes with all seats folded. It’s available with a rear cargo cover, but no cargo management system.

Entertainment and Tech

Honda Pilot

Standard tech on the 2017 Pilot includes a multi-angle rearview camera with guidelines, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink and streaming audio, USB Audio Interface, and a 4.2-inch multi-information display. The EX adds SMS text message function, 8-inch Display Audio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Sirius XM Radio. This lower trim is also equipped with the Honda LaneWatch advanced blind spot monitor and the Honda Sensing suite of driver-assistance features.

Upper trims feature the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with voice recognition and HD Digital Traffic, as well as the Blu-ray Rear Seat Entertainment System with 115-volt outlet, HDMI interface, and second-row sunshades. The Elite comes standard with all mentioned features, plus a Blind Spot Information System with cross-traffic monitor.

Nissan Pathfinder

The 2017 Pathfinder does not come available with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a LaneWatch equivalent, rear-seat entertainment system, or voice-activated navigation. Lower trims have an 8-inch color display, Sirius XM Travel, RearView Monitor, Bluetooth, HD Radio, and dual USB ports.

Available tech on the Pathfinder includes a rear sonar system, Nissan Intelligent key, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Warning, Moving Object Detection, and Forward Emergency Braking.
