Comfort and Convenience

The 2018 Pilot trims include LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, and Elite. The LX comes equipped with a multi-angle rearview camera with guidelines, rear privacy glass, Push Button Start, a tilting and telescoping steering column, capless fuel filler, and illuminated steering wheel-mounted controls. Additionally, all models come standard with Bluetooth wireless tech and a USB Audio Interface.

The Pilot EX adds tri-zone automatic climate control with humidity control and air filtration and 10-way power driver's seat with lumbar support. Infotainment and tech on this trim include SMS text function, 8-inch Display Audio with touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Sirius XM Radio, and Pandora compatibility. The EX-L trim adds a one-touch power moonroof, power tailgate, auto-dimming rearview mirror, one-touch second-row seats, leather-trimmed interior, and heated front seats. It's also available with a Rear Entertainment System and Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation with voice recognition.

The Touring includes all mentioned features standard, plus blue ambient LED lighting, memory systems for mirrors and seats, and a rear Blu-ray player. The Elite trim adds rain-sensing wipers, a panoramic roof, heated steering wheel, perforated leather heated and ventilated front seats, and heated second-row seats.

Safety and Technology

The Pilot was named a 2018 Top Safety Pick by the nonprofit Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and earned a 5-Star Overall Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Plus, the  Honda SUV comes available with the latest in technology to keep you and your family safe on the road.‡

The EX trim and higher are standard or available with the Honda Sensing system of safety technology. Available features include Collision Mitigation Braking, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, a Blind Spot Information System, and a Cross Traffic Monitor.

Performance and Towing

The 2018 Pilot has a 3.5-liter i-VTEC V6 engine with direct injection that makes 280 horsepower. Lower trims have a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the Touring and Elite trims feature a 9-speed automatic with Shift-By-Wire and paddle shifters. The Elite trim also has an All-Wheel Drive System with Intelligent Variable Torque Management.

The Pilot has 7.3 inches of ground clearance, and when you add the towing accessories kit (trailer harness and hitch ball) to AWD models, you can tow up to 5,000 pounds. Two-wheel drive models have a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.
